Louise graduated from The City University in London with a BSc(Hons) degree in Optometry in 1989.

After completion of her pre-registration post at The Royal United Hospital in Bath, Louise started her career as an optometrist and has since gained 20 years experience from working in a variety of high street practices (both multiple and independent), as well as hospital, research and teaching environments.

Louise is an active member of Devon Local Optical Committee and a member of the Association of Optical Practitioners and The College of Optometrists. She is the Head of the Optometry Service at the West of England Eye Unit at The Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital. She has a special interest in paediatric optometry, contact lens fitting and glaucoma shared care.

Louise has worked alongside Mr Quinn and Mr Byles at Exeter Laser Eye Surgeons for over 3 years, and is currently also studying towards an MSc at The City University.
